So, I am offering a pretty in depth review on this carpet cleaner because the newer model of the ProHeat 2x is not the same as its predecessor.  We are non profit based in NJ helping low income family with housing.  We are in the progress of getting a family ready for move in before the upcoming  holiday.  We are satisfied users of the Bissell line of cleaners, also having the green machine - better than anything you will rent at the store.  Anywho, our Proheat 2x which we use for smaller room went bye bye after years of faithful service.  It probably just needs the pumping unit replaced but we did not have time of that. So, in our effort to get a unit quickly we brought the 2x ProHeat Premier.  After all, the specification are almost identical.So on to the review...will these two look the same but they are not.  First off, the unit does not extract as much water as it puts down.  Many times we were only pulling of half of the water from a full tank.  Second, the Premier features a detachable plastic cover over the brushes.  This makes easy access cleaning but....after a few bumps on a wall or bouncing from the water tank and the locking mechanism starts to come loose.  This make the water tank unable to seat properly. It took a bit of troubleshooting to figure what the issue was.  It was very frustrating because there was lots of gurgling and water overflow.  Finally and most important the heater ...well ... really it is not.  In the older model, when you flip that red button and the red light comes on, you know there is heat.  In the past, carpets we have cleaned dried to the touch in less than an hour.  With the Premier 2x it took over night..with windows open and a floor heater going.  After cleaning only 2 rooms we were left with very wet floors that we had to go over quite a few time to get up as much water as possible. And at the end of the day I did not really feel the carpets were "clean".  This unit could be great!.  -- I have other photos I may upload at a later time.WNW Strategies Inc ...
