The only mechanical issue I've experienced is the 'add water' light began blinking even though the reservoir wasn't low or empty; it did not go out after adding water. I unplugged the machine and it reset when I plugged it back in; this was twice. On the third time I decided to slightly move the reservoir and that alleviated the issue so it could be it wasn't on snugly enough and was giving a false reading.
1 - It's so quick!!! The entire process to make a fresh cup of hot coffee takes at most 3 minutes. That includes preheating the water (longest part), inserting the cup and brewing. A second cup would only take about 30 seconds since the water is already hot.
2 - Absolutely NO MESS! No coffee grinds to clean, no french press to wash, etc, etc. One need only throw out the peeled coffee baggie and recycle the plastic case. That's it!
3 - The water reservoir holds a ton of water! However, your machine will nag you to refill when it starts to get low. I only have to fill it about once every 2 weeks; that's for 2 people consuming about 1 8-10oz. cup daily
4 - the touch-screen interface is awesome! You can pick your drink (coffee is the default, espresso, hot chocolate, latte, iced tea, apple cider, etc.), adjust how many ounces (6, 8, 10, 12 - depends on the drink) and adjust the temperature (some may like it hot, but some of us prefer it scalding!).
5 - if you have a tall travel cup, the bottom stand/reservoir easily comes out to accommodate the height.
6 - the water reservoir lights up. No purpose, just looks nice.
7 - Honestly, it's quite idiot-proof. Ridiculously simple. Turn on... open lid, insert coffee, close lid... press the only button.
What I DON'T love about my brewer....
1 - Limited coffees. Sure, there's like 30-some different kinds that have Vue packs, but a vast majority of them I did not like. I can't really speak for the iced teas, espresso and anything that's not latte or plain coffee. No Dunkin Donuts! :(
2 - they have yet to manufacture those reusable cups like they have for K-cup brewers. However, I did inquire about this and they said they'd try to have it on the market sometime this month (Feb 2013).
3 - most of all, the vue cups are a bit pricey. Still way cheaper than buying coffee ANYWHERE, but not as economical as buying an entire bag of coffee and making it yourself. Depending on where you buy your cups, can come out to more or less $.75/cup. This calculation is for a box of 16 cups for $12 at Bed Bath & Beyond. Obviously it's more for the lattes and other drinks that use 2 cups. But that is the price of convenience!
Overall, I am very happy with my machine and look forward to using it for many years to come.
UPDATE!!!!! Disregard #2 & 3 above
They finally have the reusable cartridges! This is a huge deal to me since it was kind of a pain to always have to buy the packs, plus of course it's much cheaper and environmentally friendly. Now I can have any damn coffee I want! The one I have I use at least once a day and it works like a dream :-) I plan on buying another very soon ($19.99 at Bed Bath & Beyond) just so I always have a clean one on hand. I suspect you could likely brew espresso and teas in it as well.
Side note- I bought a cartridge drawer for the Vue packs, but they don't fit well and I have to force them in. If you're planning to buy a storage device for the cups, make double sure it's compatible! Vue packs and K cups do not get along.
1. I also live at high altitude (5600 ft) as another reviewer has stated who reported trouble,
2. I use a small manual espresso-maker (pressure 15 bar) to make REGULAR coffee daily.
It extracts every bit of flavor UNLIKE the Keurig Vue.
I had previously tried a Keurig-made coffee at a party and vowed to never buy a Keurig machine.
But the reviews of the new Vue were so enthusiastic, and the Amazon Prime price dipped to $173 for a day, so I gave it a try.
My first brewed cup was the decaf and it was very good. EVERY cup thereafter was only a resemblance to coffee.
I tried several different kinds of coffee at the "strong" setting, with different cup sizes.
NO real improvement ... the coffee was simply not worth drinking.
I even tried the Solofill V1 Vue cup where you can use your own coffee, hoping that
my favorite coffee would somehow change the machine's performance for the better if I loaded that gadget up full.
Even THAT didn't help.
Now perhaps I have been spoiled by my little Ariete Prestige Espresso machine (also sold by Amazon)
such that lesser brewed coffee is unacceptable. If so, I intend to STAY spoiled and will now reiterate
my pledge to not buy a Keurig machine (my wife told me that I was only going to disappoint myself
with this Keurig purchase).
For many, a "resemblance-to-coffee" beverage is enough ... and the convenience is certainly important.
So I gave it one star for convenience ... As such, the machine's actual performance
in making coffee for me is zero stars.
Amazon's excellent returns policy allows for returns. As such, FIRST buy a good quality
manual espresso machine from Amazon that has a pump, grind your own coffee finely, use 2 measures of coffee beans for a 6 - 8 oz
cup and see for yourself how great regular coffee CAN be. You can always return it.
Most likely you will keep it and will enjoy a new standard of coffee excellence.
WARNING: this spoils you for GOOD coffee forever so when your neighbor asks you how you like THEIR coffee
from their Keurig, you can grit your teeth and smile politely and knowingly.

HOWEVER - VUE Cups are not available from Amazon.Ca or anyone else in Canada as 1-AUG-2013. I have burned through the samples .. and am stuck .. unless I want to take a two hour drive across the Canada-US boarder.
Amazon, how can you sell a Coffee Brewer, and not be stocking the consumables? This makes no sense.
Fix: Amazon.ca... please start stocking the VUE pack coffee.
