I got this as a gift for my husband. He has a ton of lights, but as much as he works on cars in our driveway, he didn't have one compact enough for some of the work he would do or very versatile.
This light is SUPER bright. I accidentally looked at it right as he was testing it out and I saw spots for a while...haha! Its awesome-bright. Its not too heavy or very long so he can store it in his truck to use whenever. I like how the handle has red bulbs for a safety light but also has the white leds for using as a work like. He really likes it. It seems to be very well put together but its not too heavy or too big.

Positive differences being the INGEAR comes with the 3 AAA batteries required, it has two more red LED lights (total of 8). Neutral difference is the INGEAR on/off push button (located near the top of the flashlight head) is nearly flush with the case rather than being pronounced above the surrounding case like the SUPERIOR. On the negative side the end mounted magnet seems to have less hold better than the SUPERIOR, but probably only because the SUPERIOR is flush mounted where, in my case, the INGEAR is ever so slightly recessed. Otherwise both flashlights perform equally well with their white LEDs.

I bought this based on the extremely high ratings with a lot of folks rating it. This is a nice, sexy, sleek flashlight, no question - but for the price, it's not half of what they hyped it to be. I looked very carefully at several "WORK LIGHTS" and even though my intuition told me that this would not be a good work light, I bought it based on the reviews. Especially the comments that went "Best flashlight I've ever owned". So.. my bad.

PRO: Lightweight, decent lighting both from the end and the "side"; nice emergency flashing feature; included 3 high end triple A batteries that fit in a cartridge. Overall, a nice household flashlight.

Now let's talk about it's intended use as a work light and a light you would keep in your vehicle for WORKING or for emergencies.

CON: It's round, it rolls around - you can't keep the work light portion (on the body) focused on the area you're working on unless you're lucky. It would have been better if it had an octagon shape, at least at the handle end. The magnet: ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Even a user review showed that with one little tap it falls; they have a picture of the magnet holding paper clips - my refrigerator magnet can do that. Most importantly though, is the overall design as a work light with the notion that you can use the magnet to use either the beam or the work light by magnetically placing it on your vehicle. The design is too long with a heavy end where the beam comes out - it will not stay after the slightest brush, or without perfect placement. It fell no less than 10 times until I could find just the right place to put the magnet.

Now that might sound like a scathing review - it's not. It's a nice flashlight. But if you want to work on your car with it, or use it attached to metal in your car, it is not the flashlight for you. And since I was looking for something that I could "set and forget" during any automobile repairs or inspections of the vehicle, or at very least use as a warning light, it falls short.

So, nice flashlight, but doesn't live up to the promises (nor the reviews), especially at a premium price.

I received this flashlight on promotion in exchange for testing and review. This is a nice flashlight, no question - but it’s a bit pricey for what it is
The flash light is lightweight, provides sufficient lighting both from the end and the "side". It also has a nice emergency flashing feature. It runs on included AAA batteries and has a magnet base.
It’s a decent flashlight, it is rather bright but I have a task lamp that is just as bright. This flashlight rolls around and the magnet isn’t strong enough to hold the flashlight onto metal as shown in the picture largely because the magnet is on the end of a rather heavy flashlight. If the magnet were placed on sides, or it was not round to keep it from rolling it would be a lot better. I tried on several different surfaces and the magnet just wasn’t strong enough to securely hold the flashlight in place. The magnet was probably as strong as one of my kids toy “Magnetics” magnets. The flashlight is too long and too heavy to and the magnet is too week. Good concept- poor follow through. It's a nice flashlight- but that is all. It’s a nice flashlight to keep in your car for emergencies for flashing red light but I could probably find about 50 lower priced flashlights that had blinky red lights. If you want a work light that you can "set and forget" during automobile repairs or the like, or at very least use as a warning light, keep looking. That said, I returned the item and the process was easy and straight forward. At least you know that you can purchase if you are still intrigued by the concept and want to give it a try you can risk free.
