Good quality
I purchased this month and the delivery was fast. I had a guest stay for apprx. a week. Two days of that week the queen fit 3 ppl ( husband, wife and toddler) and they all fit and slept comfortably. The remainder was one person and she said it was very comfortable and she only had to add some air one day. The bed: good quality, great price, fast delivery, comfortable and easy to inflate/deflate. I would definitely recommend.

The pump is very quick... my only complaint is that the pump lacks a reverse feature to suck the air back out of the mattress (like i have seen on many other air mattresses), so you have the pull the plugs and lay all over the mattress to get the air out, which took me probably 10 minutes. But the pump does take about 3 minutes to inflate, and since this mattress is HUGE, that's pretty impressive. Also, it is very comfortable, with a built-in fabric top so you won't need a bottom sheet if you take this thing camping. Also has a pillow-like hump at one end, so if you forget your own pillows you'll still be pretty comfortable. I think the 19.5" is measured from floor to top of that hump, because the rest of the mattress is only about 14 or 15" tall. The material it's made of seems pretty thick and durable. I just wish it could run off 12vdc, but i have an inverter for my car so i can deal without that for now. In all, i am quite happy with this product.

We were preparing for a long distance move and knew we'd be w/out our furniture for a few weeks. We bought this Intex Mattress. After almost 3 weeks of use we found:

Set up was easy, the pump is built in to the bed. So far so good but given more time and use, we'll see how the pump holds up as I'm concerned that there could be a leak or even failure of the pump and since it's built in- this bed would be useless.
But we liked the "raised" height, it was actually taller than our real platform bed. For an air mattress (I've used a Coleman and the Aerobed before), we found it a pretty good night's sleep with enough support for both of us adults. The cons, there are ridges on the top of the bed with an attached pillow. It was fine for me but my boyfriend didn't like that it was attached. The ridges are actually prominent enough that we ended up covering it with our comforter to create a smooth sleeping surface. As with many air beds, after a few days, you will need to pump more air into the bed. We found we had to pump more air every 4 days or so to get the bed to the desired firmness or else we found both of us would start off on both sides of the bed but then roll into the middle. Luckily, since the pump is built in, it's super easy to inflate. One thing to note is the really strong "plastic" smell of the bed when you first open it. So I advise to air it out on the patio for a few days before you need to use it or else it might induce a headache! The included storage bag is cheap and poorly made so I anticipate it will probably only be good for a few uses.

Deflating the unit took a little bit of effort as you have to keep pushing air out and it took a good 15-20 minutes ! But overall, we are glad we had this air mattress, it really saved us during this move while we were w/out our bed.

This Intex air mattress offers a larger size than most, a larger weight capacity, and a surface that is raised 19.5 inches off the floor when inflated, making it more similar to an actual bed. The queen size dimensions mean that this inflatable mattress can accommodate queen size sheets. A fitted sheet can be hooked on each corner of the mattress, followed by the addition of a comforter and pillow to make a sleeping space that almost looks like an actual bed. Sometimes, depending on how well inflated the bed is, it may not accommodate a queen size sheet perfectly. But a little more air should stretch the bed to the point that it resembles an actual queen size bed, making the sheets fit more snugly.

Probably the most appealing aspect of this product is the built- in air pump and this is the main reason I selected this air mattress over others. There was no need to buy a pump or even attach a pump. This pump is part of the mattress- located just underneath the top part, where the "pillow" ridge is located. It is right there, on the edge, where it can be quickly accessed for some quick pumping action. It takes about three to four minutes to inflate the bed completely- not bad for an item this big that requires so much air to make it usable.

Built in accessories are nice, but what really makes or breaks an inflatable mattress is the comfort level. And this mattress from Intex provides an acceptable level of comfort that won't leave you with back damage but also doesn't compare to a Sealy Posturpedic or Serta. When I think about the camping- style air mattresses I have used in the past, this mattress is definitely better. The fact that this mattress is made for home use and is intended for extended use as a sleeping device is the main reason for its improved comfort. Camping mattresses are made for limited use and they offer nothing more than an inflatable piece of plastic- like sleeping on an inflatable raft taken from a swimming pool. But this inflatable mattress from Intex is definitely a notch better than that, with a rippled, flocked nylon surface and firmer feel, for better comfort. One thing that is somewhat of a joke, however, is the so- called built- in "pillow" on the top. This is nothing more than a slightly elevated ridge and by no means can it take the place of an actual pillow. One quick test is all it takes for a person to realize this ridge cannot substitute for the real thing. It provides practically no head support at all.

Air mattresses are prone to losing air and while the Intex Midrise Queen Size Air Mattress is meant for extended use, it still loses a little but of air each day. It is important to check the knob on the back, next to the pump, to make sure it is turned all the way to the right, to minimize air loss. But even with the knob turned properly, some air will still escape. I have used this mattress for several days at a time and I have found that I have to re- inflate every two days. It doesn't take long and the built in pump makes the task simple so I'm not really bothered by this, but I can understand how some people- those who seek perfection in all of the manufactured goods they own- will consider this a flaw in the design.

Overall, the Intex Midrise Queen Size Air Mattress with Built in Pump is a pretty good product that offers the convenience of instant inflation along with a comfort level that is better than most inflatable mattresses. It is no substitute for a regular mattress but it is better than most other air mattresses, offering a large surface area that sleeps two (semi) comfortably.

I set this bed up almost two weeks ago. I unrolled it and allowed it to reach room temperature. Then I began inflating it a little at a time, allowing it to sit for ten minutes or so before filling further. The pump is a little noisy, but not annoying. It fills quickly. I have had the bed fully inflated and have not noticed any air loss. I slept on it after it sat inflated for two days. It is comfortable for an air mattress (it's not my tempur-pedic).

Queen sized sheets are oversized on this bed. I would recommend a mattress pad under the sheets because although the top is flocked, the sheets still slide. The only down side I see is if the pump goes out, you'll have to toss the bed because it is built in.

Overall, I would recommend this bed to anyone looking for a reasonably priced, comfortable air mattress. I am very satisfied with this purchase.
