Momma of a little and I love this case

I love my OtterBox Commuter Series iPhone case. I have a 9 month old and knew if I didn't get a more sturdy case (I had an Apple leather one, beautiful but not sufficient protection against a kiddo!) before long my phone would definitely be broken. Below are some thoughts on my case:

Protection:
- So far I am super pleased with how it has protected my phone (and I am not easy on my phone at all. In the week i've had my case it has been dropped on the corner and screen side down). My daughter dropped it right on the concrete and not only was my phone perfectly protected the case looked undamaged as well. When I had dropped my leather one before the phone would be protected, but the case would always have a giant scratch or piece missing out of it.

Looks:
- I ordered the white and grey one and I love it. It looks very clean and fresh. Long term I suspect it will stay that way because of the material, but only time will tell.

Ease of Installation:
- It was super easy to put the case on my phone. The most difficult part was installing the screen protector. I found it nearly impossible to keep dust and such off of the sticky part. So I have a few spots on my screen, but honestly nothing major. I may have also not have installed it exactly the way they said to. Was kind of in a hurry that day.

Bulk:
- I was worried that the case would be too bulky. I like being able to slide my phone into my back pants pocket or pocket on my purse and some otterbox (defender series I think) are huge and you loose a lot of the sleekness of the phone. This case is still pretty sleek. No problems putting it in pockets (although I can feel that it is slightly bigger in my back pocket than before).

Overall I would absolutely recommend this case to anyone looking for some stylish solid protection for their phone (especially if you are a momma of littles!) This case is made for, well, life.

I had this case previously (purchased from a store) and it had design flaws as previous reviewers had mentioned. The rubber that was suppose to cover the earbud hole didn't actually cover it. It didn't bother me. Even with that flaw the old case protected my phone. I drop my phone all the time. 8 months later, I had cracks in the hard plastic shell. But the phone was never harmed from a drop. The case took the fall. So when it came time for a new case, I went for this one again. The design flaws are gone. The new one I received fit my phone snuggily and the ports are well covered. I've dropped my phone more times than I can count and this case saved my phone each and every time! My phone is still in PERFECT condition. Best investment. Thanks OtterBox!

(I also have a glass screen protector though) The case itself has only managed to get 2 small cracks (1 near the camera, and 1 near the audio jack) but they don’t bother me, and most importantly my phone has been kept safe, especially for such a long time, so I’m thinking about repurchasing another one of these cases! :)

I originally bought the pink and white case for my iPhone 6s, but returned it because it was a bit too much of a bright pink for my liking. When I looked again at the other color options, I saw that the gray and white case was at a lower price than when I was first looking, so I bought that one. I just got it today and I love this color combo with my rose gold iPhone. I have really liked Otterbox for the past 3 phones I've had and now my current phone. They are made well, look great, and feel great in my hands. I really like their products. I would recommend to a friend.

Update 09/02/16: Changed from 3 to 4 stars: I did call OtterBox and used the warranty for a replacement. They sent me a new grey insert along with a screen protector (which I told them I didn't need). The customer service rep was very friendly and helpful. I received the new insert and it fit perfectly. It has not streached out like the old one, and there are no longer "gaps" in the way the two pieces of the shell fit together. My phone has been dropped multiple times, and this case protects it.
The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because when I showed my husband the replacement, he then showed me his phone cover (which was purchased the same day as mine) and his didn't fit correctly either. I didn't bother to call OtterBox this time, becuase I don't want to pay the $5.00 shipping charge for a warranty replacement item for his case. So, when you get your new cover, if it doesn't fix perfectly, call on the warranty right then. Don't wait around for 6 months.

June 6, 2016 - 3 Stars:
This is my second OtterBox case in the commuter series, and I have issues with it too. The soft rubber inside doesn't fit the phone quite right, and it leaves gaps where it should line up with the hard plastic shell. So, as far as looks go, I would give it 1 star. However, as far as protection is concerned, it is the best. Either my kids or I drop my phone at least once a month.
Pros:
*My phone has held up well, and the cover doesn't look dinged or scratched in any way.
*Case is thicker than the camera so the camera part doesn't touch the counter when the phone is laid on its back.
*It comes with a screen protector, for everyday scratches.
*Hard outer case protects the sides and back perfectly.
*Outer edge on face of phone, keep the phone face off of flat surfaces.
Cons:
*If you drop your phone face down on gravel, the screen will still break, because screen protector is not made for that.
*Rubber bumper stretches funny and doesn't hold its shape.
So, once you put your phone in it, don't take it out.

Initially, was hesitant as previous reviewers were questioning the fit for the iPhone 6S. I find it fits very well, goes on snug and feels very secure. Although the outer case is rigid and somewhat slippery, this inner portion has plenty of exposed grip. Did not use the screen protector that came with it as I prefer glass over plastic film. The 2-versions of glass I've used so far work perfectly with this case. There are many 2-packs of glass protectors available thru Amazon at great prices. The Commuter protects very well without adding too much bulk. Gets 5-stars if it comes with glass screen protection. Very satisfied.
