This thing ranks #9 in most video card charts as of today and is a fantastic budget card for those that would like to stick with Nvidia and need to upgrade from a 4 or 5 series card. It has more than enough memory for taxing games and runs pretty cool with it's stock reference blower. The blower does get a bit loud as most stock blowers do when you're playing more intensive games, but is inaudible otherwise.
For those of you that will most likely ask, yes there is some coil whine on older games that don't support v-sync or when your frame rate is at 1600fps in some odd menu in an older game. Coil whine isn't present doing much of anything else that I noticed. This is pretty typical of your 6 and 7 series cards though, so don't be freaked out. Even the higher end cards will whine.
