Lights up the blind spots
This looks good and despite the specs, it performs well. Using it over our trash and recycling cans outside on an unlighted part of the driveway. In testing it over a few days. (there and elsewhere) It puts out light to find one's way, but a mounting height of six feet seems best for both light dispersion and sensing. (It cannot do 36 feet as described) It does last all night and its run on full brightness for over an hour. Its not an intensity of light to read by, but its good for making your way around in the dark. It is also not so bright it wakes the next door neighbor; which was a consideration. I managed to use a small piece of vinyl starter strip and clip it to the corner of our vinyl siding. (easier to take down to clean or move it elsewhere later.) Peel and stick is a bad idea, because PVC never handles adhesive well overtime., and this will be broken after falling six feet. Lots of comments on how it looks, as it approaches Science Fiction in Design ! It is a straight forward on or off, with on being dim; going to full brightness for about 20 seconds when motion is detected. It works as described.

My cat loves to sleep on the deck at night - but it's dark out there and the only way I could check on him was by turning on our outdoor floodlights. I bought this, hoping it would stand upright out of the hole where an umbrella goes. It works well, but I did place a small planter behind it for stability. I've had it over a week now and even on cloudy days it illuminates all night. I love that the motion detector works when he jumps out of the chair - makes it so easy to keep up with my little furry friend! I'm already thinking about all the dark corners I can light up with these lights. There's actually a hole at the top of the light, so it could easily be hung on a nail. I've not had a lot of luck with using double sided tape outside where it is subjected to hot and cold weather - but as light as this is, it just might work.
