The good part of the purchase is the monocle. And that's what it should be used as - not a telephoto lens!
The thing is well constructed and heavy. What gets one star is the cheap and poorly made universal bracket that comes with it. There is no way to get it to line up easily to get a good sharp picture as the lens is heavy and continually needs refocusing. And in my order's case the bracket didn't close properly around the len's base so it was not able to align properly with the camera. I returned it.
Do not waste your money on this as a telephoto lens for your cell phone.
The bad: for photo taking I think this product is not good. It is hard to line up the camera of my iphone6 with the lens and even when I do, the picture is not full frame, but only a small circle. See the attached photo. For the quality of photos this takes it's barely worth carrying it around.
Conclusion: if you want this just for playing around its fine, but if you're hoping to up your mobile photo game, definitely not the tool for you.

This is a single hand holding telescope lens barrel. It allows you to see a circular field of view. It’s toggle lens that adjusts with just a turn of the hand. Soon everything is in focus far, far away. You can see thing that you can not see with the naked eye. Do not point the lens into the sun. It can damage the lens, and be hard on your eyes.
Make sure if you are traveling to keep it in a dry, well ventilated spot. Otherwise steam can build up in the lens.
In order to keep it clean they send a small cleaning cloth. The cloth can also be used for other lenses if you need it. Do not use other rags, or paper towels to clean the lenses, as they may scratch them. Do not take the lens apart to try to clean the inside. One or two drops of alcohol can be added to the lenses to help with the cleaning process.
On a phone I did find it cumbersome to put on. First I had to put the brace on, then I had to try and put the lens on. It’s all kind of heavy for a phone.
The directions are not super clear. They do not give step by step directions. It’s more just what you can do, and what you can not do with the lens.
Design wise it goes with many other electronics. It's black. There isn't other color options. I find this to be just fine considering that most electronics on the market are black, grey, or white.
I do wish it was made in the USA. It is made in China. Many products are made in China to save on cost though.
I got this product for free in exchange for an honest review. I am a blogger that states my true opinion.
