They also have lessons for the single moves. I've not used them so far, because I did not need it. But I think it's also a great help for beginners.
The music and choreographies are very inspiring, so are the instructors, although they do not talk. I like that they have used real instructors, not animations and that each song is completed by some additional background dancers, simulating the feeling of a real gym class.
There are songs for different levels - up to high energy. The number of songs is quite enough for a while.
Yet, I wish they are already working on a new version so I can buy a new edition when this one gets boring.
Lots of fun cardio for this late 30s couch potato looking for some exercise that is not in a gym with all the young hardbodies. The game aspect brings out your competitive nature, and forces you to keep going no matter how tired you are. If you don't, you get a lousy score, and it doesn't unlock other workouts. I love that it forces me to power through the tiredness, or have to repeat the level. Plus, the routines are fun and the music is catchy. Before you even realize it, you've sweated through 40 minutes of very intense exercise. So much better than watching tv from an airdyne bike or walking with your iPod, all for less than the price of one month's gym membership!
As other reviewers have noted, be sure to find "learn the moves" before you start if you're not already an avid Zumba-er.
Update 3 months later: Still loving this game! I'm almost at the end, and I'm still challenged and sweating my butt off. The High intensity workouts are really fun. You have to get this. So worth it!
Pros:
Good variety of songs.
Tracking seems to be improved over Xbox 360.
Good workout.
Cons:
Navigating the menu systems is very flustering. This is our biggest problem in the game. You can either navigate the menus using Kinect, or voice, but not using the controller. This makes navigating through menus a real chore. Creating a custom playlist is possible, but it's an exercise in shouting at your television for 45 minutes trying to get Kinect to recognize what you are saying. Why, Why, Why can't we use the controller.
My wife thinks it could be hard for a beginner.
Top reviews from other countries
It is great, that there is real dancers, not 3d models.
And what a songs. There a terrific. Especially Brazil and Costa Rica ones.
So, recommend for everybody.
Lo malo es que no viene en español.
Pero sirve para su propósito
