Much slimmer case than I had envisioned (which I was happy about as I did not want anything bulky). I chose the dark gray and lime green case and I'm so glad I did! It looks sleek and sharp! The case was a little tricky to take apart (open) so that I could put it ON the phone....even with the steps included (which were just drawings)....but at least I know it has a snug fit with no gaps or bulges. Has a slightly grippy surface on back and sides that makes the case very easy and comfortable to hold. Very happy with this purchase!!

I went from an iPhone 6 to SE. Once I had the SE I felt the size was slightly too small to hold comfortbaly in one hand. I needed a case and this one looked good and a style a like. Once I had it installed I fell in love with the size and design. The case makes this a perfect size for me to use comfortably and also pocket it without being bothersome. The materials are great and it feels quite rugged. I have dropped it a few times already but the case has proven worthy. I would recommend to anyone looking and also I would buy again (not that I will probably ever need to!)

What can I say? Otterbox cases speak for themselves.

This is the first Otterbox Defender style case I've had that actually allows me to scan my fingerprint though. So that's an exciting new feature. They always say you'll be able to, but it never really works. This one wasn't lying though!

I have literally thrown my phone in irritation or out of surprise on a truly embarrassing number of occasions. If it weren't for a few specks of dust, you'd think it was right out of the box. My Otterbox has kept this phone pristine for 1.5 years, and the case itself is still doing great. A tiny bit of wear on the rubber around the edges and a few scratches on the screen protector. Nothing that interferes with using the phone in any way. Even the little fold-back covers for the lightning port and the sound on/off switch are in great condition.

Truly an excellent case!

In general, an excellent case - typical of Otterbox products. Protection afforded is extremely good. Port enclosures are well-fitting, snug and tight, unlike others w/port protectors. Access to various function buttons is quite good and perform well. Its only difficulty is the "plastic" screen protector, which despite the oil and smudge resistant coating, continues to attract oily fingerprints and other similar smudges that are exceptionally difficult to remove. This particular protector example seems to be rather soft, thus prone to significant scratching. A tempered glass protector would seem a much better solution, well worth the expected additional cost. This case has done wonders for me. As a clumsy girl who enjoys throwing or dropping her phone off basically anything I love this case. It still gives all the functionality of having your phone out of the case while also giving it drop protection, screen protection, and minimal water protection. While it is not waterproof it does help that all openings on the phone are plugged with the rubber outer case so if you spill something on your nightstand and your phone is laying there no worries it is safe from the spilled liquid. DO NOT DROP THIS CASE INTO WATER! IT IS NOT WATERPROOF!!! My boyfriend has had multiple of these and I am on my first and we even made his whole family put their iphones in these cases. Otterboxes are the best.

Just what I needed in a case/ perfect color

I needed a case that would bulk up my iphone 5s. I upgraded to the 5s because it was more economical to do so when my 4 needed repairs. I was not excited about the super slim feature of the 5s. I read the negative reviews and realized the bulkiness of this case is just what I needed! It is sturdy; the openings have movable flaps for your headphones and charger; the flaps are sturdy and fit snugly back into place. I haven't dropped my phone (yet) but I feel pretty confident that my phone will be safe for the inevitable drop. The case is not slippery smooth but I carry it in my scrub pocket at work every day and it's not hard to take in and out. The built in screen protector doesn't hinder the touch screen at all. (I don't use the fingerprint feature so can't comment.) The sound quality is perfect; others mentioned that their headphones didn't work with this case. My $3 headphones from walmart have worked fine. I chose the green and black case and the color is true to the picture. I would definitely buy this again.
