I've been a fan of Otterbox covers since I got my first iPhone.
This cover has been my favorite to date. I used to own the old Defender series but this cover is a lot better than the old one. What I like the most about this cover is that it's "virtually" indestructible. Yes, it's a bit bulky and colorful but for me that's what makes it fun. I don't like pink that much but the shade of pink looks really cute with the purple/blue. The cover comes with a black holster and 2 flaps in the bottom (one covering the headphones jack and the other for the lighting usb). It comes with built in screen protector so you don't have to get a screen protector film for your phone. This cover is the real deal. If you're looking for protection this is the right cover for you. The only con I find is that if you charge your iPhone using a docking station you would've to take the cover off.
Overall, it's a great buy for an owner of an iPhone 5/5S. Great price, durability and protection. Would recommend this item to any owner of an Iphone 5/5S.

Not even water resistant
I have three kids so I need a heavy duty case. While this case does an amazing job protecting against a fall or a 2 year old being too rough, it does nothing to protect against water. Any splash of water near the case and there is water all over my phone. The pervious version of this case protected the home bottom with bothe the hard shell and soft outer cover. This version has nothing coving the home button so water easily falls into it.
