Customers like the sound quality of the headphones. They say the sound is fine for them, they can hear everything in their surroundings and still have their tunes going without subjecting them to outdoor noise. They are great for running, and the perfect volume to compete with outdoor noise, and allow them to hear music/pods without shutting off. The noise cancelling is good, and they do not block outside sounds so you remain fully aware of the outside world while still being able to hear. Rock, classical, ambient, and voice all came through very clear, and it does not interfere with their hearing aids.

Compared to other cheap bluetooth headphones I've tried, including a pair of cheap bone conduction headphones that broke after 6 months, they're much more comfortable. The volume buttons are easy to distinguish by feel and control without thinking about. They're also incredibly light.
The elephant in the room here is sound quality. I'd say my Airshokz easily sound basically as good as a cheap pair of earbuds that I'd be using otherwise. That's damning a bit by faint praise for a pair of $150 headphones, but it's pretty much a direct result of being able to hear the world around you. I mostly listen to audio books and podcasts, which sound perfectly fine, music is a bit lower fidelity, and it's a lot easier for the outside world to drown out the sound from the headphones. On my bike, that's a trade off that's pretty easy to accept. Honestly, the sound quality is good enough that I've found myself wearing them while doing chores around the house too because they're so much more convenient and comfortable than my big over ear headphones with a long wire that gets caught on everything.
So for my particular use, they're absolutely worth the money, but I probably wouldn't shell out this much unless being able to hear the world and/or weight were very high on your priority list.
Regarding battery life and "rechargeability", I really am amazed at how long they last when taking into account how tiny the battery must be. They charge to full VERY quickly, and a charge typically lasts me an 8.5-hour shift at work and then some. So basically "all day" on one charge, as far as I'm concerned. I've owned them quite some time now and there is no sign of the battery wearing down ("not charging like when it was new") and the charging port and rubber port cover have held up quite well to hundreds of charging cycles.
One of the best parts about them is the ability to listen to music while you have earplugs in. I wear earplugs quite a bit to protect my hearing (after neglecting my hearing for years as a drummer) when practicing, vacuuming, etc., and it's really amazing how the bone conduction part works.
Bluetooth pairing couldn't be easier.
I also love that I can use these as a Bluetooth headset for talking on the phone. Not sure what the quality is like on the other end, but I've never had someone say that they can't hear me.
Nutshell version: There are few products I love more than these things. You won't be disappointed.

Outdoors, you'll notice within minutes that these are close in sound quality to ear buds with comply tips. The music coming through bone conduction while your ears are free to listen to traffic and other sounds around you must be processed differently by the ears. Outdoors the sound is almost on par with my previous pairs of Jaybird X2 and X3's (but with Jaybirds come safety concerns with lack of awareness about what's happening around you.) If you're using these for music indoors, you'll likely be disappointed and may even mistake their sound quality capability, but they're great for podcasts and audiobooks. They do come with foam ear plugs if you'd like to use them indoors and that might make a difference, however I haven't tried it
There are NO DROPOUTS (!!) with a Garmin 645, so if you've been plagued by that like I was, these are a great solution.
These fit great with sunglasses, a ball cap, or on their own. For winter running, I've moved to a bigger touque on the coldest days to accommodate the wrap around portion inside and keep my ears warm, and when I wear a band to cover my ears I put them on after the band in place and slip them under it. Once they're on you'll forget their there, and you'll never need to adjust these like I have with my previous wireless buds. I was used to them in a matter of days.
There is external sound bleed that won't bother you, but will be audible to people around you if you have them turned up. If you're running solo you won't need to worry about it, and if you're running with someone else I've really enjoyed keeping the music low and carrying on a conversation with my running partner as normal, hearing both the music and the conversation with ease. Very cool.
I've sweat all over these, run in rain, sleet, snow, etc and nothing has affected them and they wipe clean. These charge quickly and the battery lasts for a long time.
I highly recommend them for running outdoors and they're an excellent solution for use with a Garmin 645
Starting with the negatives:
One size fits all means if you have a smaller head the band will sit away from the back of your head. I’d have like to have had it sit snug around my head but it’s really not the end of the world and doesn’t really affect their operation.
Sound quality versus ‘in-ear’ head phones is not on the same level. Whilst music is definitely listenable, they aren’t going to give you the same level of sound definition; there is a loss of bass and sometimes the finer details are missed (imagine watching a film and not hearing quiet footsteps on a path, whereas with normal headphones you’d hear that).
At max volume you do get a weird vibration on your head where the speakers sit, but if you have it at the volume you will probably do yourself a mischief anyway!
Positives:
They are comfortable when running, very little movement and therefore not a great deal of adjustment needed, resulting in being able to maintain better concentration during exercise.
Very good battery life. I’m training at marathon distance so knowing these will last as long as me is important!
Build quality is very good; considering how light they are, they appear to be very robust.
Connectivity to my phone has not been an issue, I run with my phone in a waist belt and the connection has never dropped.
The open ear aspect is what swayed me to take the jump and buy these as many races now won’t allow you to run with headphones in, but will allow bone conducting as long as your ears are open. Having a good sense of your surroundings and being able to chat as you run but still hear music is also a bonus!
So in summary, don’t buy these if you want decent sound quality to watch movies/tv or play games on your commute. Do buy these if you want a decent wireless set up for running. I’m keeping my in ear headphones for daily wear but these are now my go-to option for exercise.
