Will it live to surpass its brother??
I LOVED the base model of these headphones and they took quiet the beating before finally calling quits. I have the same expectations of the (what I call it) little brother to be the same or better as it's the basic one. Bluetooth sounds nice with hardly any confusion on how to make it work along with a voice to know exactly what it's doing. Luckily you don't need to have it on for wired listening. Noise cancelling (compared to like Bose because why not) isn't as bad as some could say. Small things such as ambient sounds (fans, birds, pencil writting) does dissapear, but because small sounds are gone, you can hear (talking you to someone, coughing, doors) regular ish sounds clearer ( no big deal). Chargin these headphones is fairly quick along and comes with a nice blue cable to know it's for them. Exepctional boxing as expected with a surprisingly hard carrying case. Must say, for the price that these headphones are worth, it's worth the bucks. I hope to be able to run these headphones for 2 years the same as I did with it's big brother.

I am writing this on behalf of my husband who purchased them recently with gift cards from Amazon that he received for Christmas. He absolutely loves them. The sound quality is great and the noise cancelling really works. I can attest to that because he can't hear me call out for him when that feature is on! The interior of the ear phones cup nicely over the ears, creating a comfortable fit which aids the sound cancelling. He wore them to weed eat the lawn last week and they really helped cancel out the noise while he listened to music broadcast from inside the house.

The hardware portion of the device is very solid and sturdy and attractive. The headset comes with a nice, zippered carrying case to protect them that is also of top quality. Overall, a great purchase for the price.

Update: 6/4/17. The Blue Tooth connection pooped out. JLab has agreed to replace. Necessary to mail them the headset so they can determine that they aren't working. Kind of a pain but, oh well.

I really like these headphones. They make cross-country flights much less fatiguing because the noise cancellation is very good. Unfortunately, the point where the ear cup meets the frame is fairly small and mine broke after about two weeks of not-very-rough use. It happened when I was pivoting the headphones from the flat position to the ready to use position. With liberal applications of epoxy they are good-to-go, but I have to feel like this is an engineering flaw.

The Noise cancelling is really top notch. At least equal to, if not better than, my Bose QC headphones. The sound quality itself is very good. I quite like the loudness and bass response. I'm not an audiophile (too many years flying military aircraft) but I like the sound better than any other headphones I have.

Overall I would recommend them, but be VERY careful when you rotate the earcups from flat to use them, I suggest only pressing on the frame piece, and not grasping the earcups themselves, as they are just too fragile to survive that way.

For the price, I think they are worth it for sure.

When I opened the package, I found the box had not only had the seal already broken, but had been taped together with scotch tape on the outside and was falling apart on the inside. The headphone case itself was beat up and had markings all over it.

I prefer the sound over the Bose (A friend has a Bose series 3) and I would say the ANR is pretty much equivalent. So far, battery life seems pretty good. Bluetooth connection is pretty consistent, except when switching from one audio device to another, but no worse or better than the Bose.

However, these headphones have the smell of chemicals and urine to me -- very strong. I left them in the car, and the stink filled the car. My eyes watered. Customer service offered to send a new pair, as they said they had a batch that were not properly "aired out" before shipment. So I checked with a friend who had a pair over 6 months and the smell was still there.

Especially at this price point, I would highly recommend these headphones, but my recommendation is to not purchase these headphones until they state specifically that the problem with the smell is fixed with new materials. As a fan of JLab, I'm very, very disappointed.

Got this based on a review on Amazon and another website. I use it for bedroom headphones along with a TaoTronics bluetoots transmitter with my Samsung TV. Mind you this is not for music quality output, this is for sound blocking, clear voice and over great fit and feel (great padding on ears and head band on top. The charge quality is good, pairing is very easy. I like the little computer voice that says Hello and Goodbye when you turn ON and OFF the unit power. Good sound blocking. Volume control on one of the ear pads. YES it can be used with a standard 3.5mm wire to phones or devices. Good look good fit and feel well built and I am enjoying them so far !

I owned the studio model, not the Bluetooth model. And it sounded much better than this. I know that you lose.
