So we bought this laptop for a non profit art association. It has a wide screen for the visually impaired. It also has a touch screen for the mobility impaired. It has an Intel I5 chip, so it is not slow. And also has lots of Ram in it. The only thing i don't like is windows 10. But all new computers are coming with it! This laptop is actually very lightweight for being so large. It also has its own DVD/CD reader and writer built in! All in all one very solid laptop!

This laptop has been nothing but trouble since I've had it. As of this date, March 8, 2018, I have not even had this laptop for a year. (ordered March 17th, 2017.

First it would boot up extremely slow. I did all the updates required, turned off things from running at start up to try to speed it up, and still nothing but laggy problems booting up. Once it would finally load, it would dragggggg. It is slow. Mind you I have nothing much installed on this laptop. I used Windows student through school on it to write papers and do occasional shopping on it. I have a good antivirus product on it to protect it.

I turned it on a few days ago to finish writing a paper and the black screen of death and loud beeping ensued. Really? Not even a year old and having problems like this. It said my date and time was not correctly set up and something about BIOS. The date and time was correct. I'm no computer wizard, but I"m not stupid either. No reason why these things should be happening after less than a year. Kids do not use this laptop, it is strictly for schoolwork.

I have had a Dells before and both laptops had issues but everyone said you buy dell for their warranty even dell told me that. I have not had a laptop for 4 years so I decided to buy this one think that the improvements have to be better and faster than they use to. So far it's been fairly good. I am not impressed with it it seems kinda sluggish but my main problem is the mouse pad gets stuck or frozen every few minutes when using for an extended period of time. Unfortunately contacting dell was always the worse part about the warranty but it seems like I will have to bite the bullet and do it. I also bought a asurin warranty through Amazon. But you get what you pay for.

I've only had it for less than a month. Set up was not hard, but time consuming. Got free 30 day McAfee antivirus on set up. I enjoy the touch screen, my first laptop with this feature. It is a bit slow in responding to the touch pad. But the touch screen more than makes up for that when I need to scroll or close windows/tabs. If it breaks within a year, I will update my review accordingly. The 5g wifi is fast, granted I have a very responsive latest router with that capability.

I hate when things break, with moderate use within a year, if I get them from Amazon, you bet I'll update this review. I appreciate when others do the same.
