We purchased these hoping to fit into a tight kiosk stand, hence the need for the right-angle connector. This adapter would be perfect if the plastic casing around the connectors were not so thick. We have used a belt sander to remove a lot of the excess plastic, which has worked OK for our purposes. I worry, however, how well it will hold up over time. If space around your USB ports/plugs is not a premium, then this cable will work well for you. If space is tight, be aware that this cable is "chunky" and may cause an issue! The size of the ends of the adapter is the only reason that I took a star off. Otherwise it is a great product.

Well, in theory and design, it's a nice little item. It got my cable out of the way and allowed me to place it parallel to the laptop where the cable was originally interfering with my mouse. But on the downside: I don't know if I just got a unit with a bad wire or connection or what? I constantly have devices on the hub connected to this adapter disconnecting and reconnecting. Nothing like hearing constant Windows notifications to the status' of every item on the hub constantly. Just to verify that it was this adapter and not my hub and devices, I removed the adapter and plugged the hub directly in and I don't get the disconnects/reconnects at all. So ergo, it's the adapter.
I would return it, but the shipping I would be responsible for is more than the cost of the unit. So may as well keep it.
