After hurricane Irma, the pool was full of leaves, twigs and debris. The entire bottom was covered. We had to take out most of the leaves and big twigs by using a hand held net and collected about five garbage cans full of debris. The water was clear but there was a lot of dirt and leaves still on the bottom. The Aquanaut was off during the storm and when turned on, it was amazing how well it cleaned the pool. One must watch the cleaner as it can stop moving because twigs or leaves are caught in the intake. These have to be removed. The storm was over on Monday and we started on the pool on Thursday. After two days the pool was totally clear. I am very pleased
Asked to speak to a supervisor, and never got a call back.
Amazon did the right thing and issued a refund after 30 days.
Kudos to Amazon. Hayward, you will never get another dollar from me ever again, You make a bad product, you don't-stand behind it and you have lost me as a customer forever by your rude arrogant behavior,

I'm sorry that some of the other reviewers have not had the best experiences with the AquaNaut. I will say that there are a few things on the AquaNaut that do need to be adjusted from time to time in order to maintain proper suction, traction etc. so maybe the settings were part of their problem. Thankfully, my pool guy takes care of those adjustments for me.
I will say that this vacuum will not climb the steps, so I do need to brush them manually, but it takes less than five minutes to do that so I can live with that one flaw. Otherwise, it does a great job of climbing my pool walls all the way to the top of the water line and I have a deep 10 ft. diving pool.
This cleaner was recommended by the company that installed my pool and pump last fall, as well as by my pool guy. I'm sold.
