I have two big dogs a German Shepherd and Rottweiler and both are shedding so bad it’s been driving me nuts. I decided to try out a dog vacuum one to see if it’ll help because my poor other vacuum kept getting clogged and I already fallen in love with this. It came to my house within 2 days only real thing you have to is unscrew and put the handle on and then screw it back. The instructions are so easy to read. Doesn’t come with a screwdriver but I think almost everyone has one. I never knew how much dirt was on the ground because of these pups but this vacuum did an amazing job!!! Well worth the money. Only negative thing is how small the bag is on it. You’ll have to dump it out a few times but just means it’s really picking up everything on the ground! Also it doesn’t release very well so I have to put my hand in and pull out where got clogged but if it wasn’t for dog hair it probably wouldnt get clogged. Well done Hoover you just got yourself a customer for life. Love how well packaged it was and all the instructions that came with it. Made me feel like they really care about the customer and have some pride in their products. I bought it back when it was 79 dollars I don’t think it should be over 90 bucks for this product. Wouldn’t buy if it’s 137 tbh

I'm really into reading reviews before I buy. I do believe that the person who writes the review should understand that everyone's situation is NOT the same. So I don't get hung up in negative reviews as not everyone is going to like the product. With that said, I have two dogs, a chihuahua and a golden retriever, and have a fair amount of rugs, balanced with hardwood floors. We simply wore out our previous Hoover Windtunnel with a bags. I was a bit skeptical of of a bagless, but was impressed with the 12AMP motor. The price was great, so I ordered one. When it arrived it took about 5 minutes to assemble, was packed very well, Right out of the box, I tried it out. When I started it up, yes, it was a bit noisy. But it vacuumed like a pro. Suction is excellent. Cord could be a bit longer, but is sufficient. So could the suction pipe. The crevis tool is the best I've seen on any vacuum, and the only item I really didn't like, and if I were Hoover, I would put the beater bar back in the upholstery tool, the tool with this vacuum comes with plastic paddles, which can be a bit rough for livingroom furniture. And yes, I did have to empty the dirt collector twice, but who really cares if it works and is designed well. Flat floors for me were not a problem as criticized in some reviews. It worked better on bare floors than my previous one. So, please don't compare this machine to the high end vacuums such as a Dyson, there is no comparison. For under $100.00 dollars, Hoover has done a great job for the money. I have used it a month so far, and have not had any problems, actually, I probably have a cleaner house.! If it lasts as long as my old Hoover, I'll be a happy guy.!

Hoover is staying true to its reputation. Our family loves felines & in turn we vacuum ... a lot. I considered the "Animal" vac by another maker but opted to stay true to Hoover. This vac is wonderful. It has great suction and works well on both carpeted and non-carpeted floors. The accessory pieces work very well on removing cat hair from upholstered surfaces. In terms of performance, it gets 5 stars.

There are 3 drawbacks that drop it to a 4 star review. First, as many have said, the hose is very short which makes cleaning the top of the couch, a favorite napping spot, a challenge. (Couch is against the wall & the hose barely makes it to top.) Second, even when the handle is fully released, the vac is still too high to fit under the bed. We have a 4 post bed with a lot of clearance underneath but this vac is a hair too tall. In turn, I had to keep our old vac just for under-the-bed cleaning. Lastly, the cup doesn't empty as easily as I would like it to. I usually have to put my hand in to loosen the collected debris. This isn't a big deal but other vacs I've used with a similar design didn't have this problem.

Overall, I would buy this again - it's pick-up is outstanding which is the goal. The drawbacks are minor inconveniences.

So with a household of 8 cats and an allergy to said 8 cats, I go through a lot of vacuuming and know exactly what kind of vacuum I need. I spent a few hours researching different vacuums and ended up with this Hoover. Why does nobody ever tell you how to really clean a cat tree? Why did nobody tell me that getting a tan one is a bad idea? Why the heck did nobody warn me hos much more cats will shed in the desert?
I clean about an hour and a half every.single.day. I know my s*** when it comes to vacuuming. I am a certified Hoover'er. The best feature by far is the little attachment brush thingy, the one with the squeegee part on the bottom. That little thing was my new best friend tackling the cat tree and the blinds, the curtains, the floor, you get my drift. The vacuum has a good suction power and a retractable cord. Say whaaaaat? Fancy.

Cleaning it is just as easy, with the click of a button the dirt falls out the bottom and if it gets clogged up with way too much cat hair (like mine NEVER does...), you can even twist the top and pull it out. Marvelous.

The only downside I have noticed so far is that I believe there is less suction power centralized when I used the suction tool stick thingy. My old vacuum had a knob that I could turn to "tools" from the "floor" setting and the suction power only went to the "tool". In my mind that meant there was a greater force when I use the suction tool stick thingy. I may be wrong though folks!

Getting this was like an early birthday present. (I'm that weirdo who likes cleaning and new cleaning appliances)

Dude, I don't know jack about vacuums, but this thing works. "Little loud, but it's a vacuum" sound. Sucks up my cat's hair, all the time, but clean the cylinder after every use. Picks up bigger stuff, small bits, even on the tile floor. Hose has great suction, but I'm not sure how to use the pet brush effectively? But I'm no stranger with pet hair, so it looks cool mounted on the thing. Extension is nifty, too.

If you're reading this and unsure about which vacuum to get, let me say that this is cheap, sturdy and works great so far. I got the extended warranty, though, so as soon as this thing gives me any trouble I'm on it. It was only a few extra so I would encourage it if you've been finding a lot of reviews about faulty ones lately.

I am really quite happy with this vacuum. It replaces a Dyson which died after 11 years. My only suggestions would be for the cord to be much longer even if that meant that it didn't self-rewind, and for the hose to be longer. I was worried by some comments that this vacuum was heavy but I sure don't find it so, especially after lugging around the Dyson. This vacuum performs very well. My pets wish it was a little less noisy however.

- 12 amp of power (don't plug into a socket with other things, as you might trip your breaker)
Cons
- The on switch is on the back about a foot down. It is not in a comfortable place to turn it on.
- The dirt canister is not large, one furry rug fills it up.
- Cleaning the brush, involves unscrewing a panel, this is not quick.
