I use it to cut medal seals of trailer and the blade is still sharp to cut paper smoothly. I waited awhile to write review because most knives break when cutting seal but it has held up beyond belief the blade isn't even loose.

I read the reviews and thought this would be a good knife for the price. I have a lot of fixed and folding blades and I own several Kershaw knives, which I am happy with. However, after I opened the blister pack and removed this knife I found that the blade wiggles back and forth somewhat when the blade is extended. I find this unacceptable and unsafe for the user. This knife is a bit on the smaller side. Even though it has finger grooves, the grip is really for smaller hands. (I don't have big hands either). I am afraid that it would be possible for a hand to slip on the blade if enough resistance was met, especially with wiggle in the open blade. If I could redesign the knife, it would have a larger finger groove, or a front quillon. The knife could use some thumb rise or at least some ridges on the spine, so that the thumb would not slip. I bring these points up because the knife came super-sharp. The blade itself seems of good quality. Compared to other decent knives in this price point, this one doesn't meet expectations.

This knife is an okay knife I guess. I was disappointed when I found out that this knife was made in China because the seller said it was made in the USA (Kershaw is a US based company and about half of their stuff is made here) I bought this one when I was just getting into knives and thought it was perfect at first but then realized its flaws. First thing is that it DOES NOT SHARPEN WELL. It came pretty sharp but after use when I went to sharpen it the edge can never be as good as the factory edge. 8cr13mov is a Chinese steel and it is not good. I don't like it at all. This knife also isn't the greatest for opening with one hand which in my mind is a huge flaw. You can do it by holding the blade and flicking it down then throwing it up a bit and catching the handle but that isn't very safe or efficient. The good things about it are that it locks back very strong, no blade play, the handle is nice and easy to get a good grip on, and it is cheap... BUT for not much more you can get a Kershaw Leek, Scallion, or Chive, which are all great knives, I have a Leek and a Chive (the Scallion is just over a half inch bigger than the Chive but the same design) and they are assisted opening which in my mind is way better, I would not recommend this knife unless you like its look or the lockback design but I would recommend Kershaw

This Colt is a great little knife and a replacement for one I had for years that was stolen from me. A couple weeks ago I cleaned and skinned a cow elk with it just as it came without even sharpening it. When I was done it just needed a quick touch up on the steel. Very happy with Kershaw knives and they hold a great edge.

This is a great product! To anyone who ever owned a Kershaw Blade, you know what I mean. The item arrived in a timely manner and the product, well, what can I say.Kershaw Blades are some of the best Blades on the market! The "Kershaw Black Colt II - Lockback Folder Knife" usually runs around $30.00 - $45.00 USD retail, I paid $18.95 + $4.55 Shipping & Handling for a total of $23.50 . That's a steal for a blade of this caliber! I would recommend this product to anyone who wants a dependable, rugged, quality blade!
