Bought to replace an aging and failing spinpoint drive; i've not got three of these WD greens - two in my main system and one big one in my NAS. They do work well and seem to be reliable with no faults so far (heavy daily use for over 18 months).
Only gripe is that streaming GoPro footage is a no no with these as it results in stuttering through the movie - no problems occurred with the spinpoint until the dreaded 'clicking of death' noise started - but for general programs/games/photo/storage etc they can't be beaten - just don't use them is high transfer rate is required. (we now only use SSD's for production now and the WD greens for backup/storage after production)
Packaging from Amazon was much improved with this latest drive, it was bubble wrapped in a box, in a box - much better than with all the previous ones where they could rattle around a massive box with no padding. (thanks for listening Amazon)

I've never had trouble with a WD Caviar drive before, and this one proved to be no exception. It's installed as the second drive in my system, partitioned into two unequal halves. It's giving me the unremarkable, constant trouble-free performance I've come to expect from Caviar drives, losing a star for the simple reason that it requires access to your bit-box. You get just the drive: no cables and no screws to hold it in place. Otherwise, an excellent piece of kit...
