Someone can still see your screen if sitting next to you. I have verified this on multiple occasions. Get a 3M screen instead - much better at hiding your screen. This will be my last sony product. I have had a vaio S and vaio Z and both were horrible products. While sony used to have superior products, Acer, MSI, etc. have definitely caught up and probably make better laptops that cost much less. Sony is simply a brand name now, the value of which is eroding quickly.
