Failed on first run.
1 Star
Failed on first run.
Comfortable but the glue holding the soles to the upper failed day 1. I have ran wearing vibrams for years and these were very comfortable to run in but what is the point if you have them fail each time I do so. Over $100 per run is not even laughably bad but infuriatingly so. I can't even give them a bonus star for comfort when you only get to use them once. on top of it all, i was sent the wrong color to begin with.
Thank you for your feedback

I have been wearing my Vibram shoes for 3 months and love them!!!! this is my second pair of shoes i have bought. i never wear my sneakers instead opting for these. they are so comfortable to wear and love the feel of them on my feet. I walked around Bush Gardens Williamsburg from open to close with my feet never hurting once. definatly recommend these shoe's if you are intrested in them...

So these are definitely comfortable to walk in. I would recommend trying them on in a store first. I wear a US size 9 in womens but the conversion for this shoe put me at a size 10. I have somewhat wider feet so perhaps thats why. They took some time to adjust to..as I could feel tension in my ankle that I constantly injury. However, I do believe that they helped to strengthen my ankle.... I couldnt wear heels for a longtime after my last ankle twist....but these got me back to wearing heals. They have a thick enough sole that you dont feel every thing on the ground....so its feels like wearing flats...but it doesnt have the same thick bottom of gym shoes, so running my not . My feet got so use to these that gym shoes feel weird. All and all they are a comfortable shoe.

I LOVE these shoes. I LIVE in them. They are the only thing I wear except when I'm at work (and if they would get with the program I'd wear them there). As it is, I wear them to work, change, then put them back on to go home.

I walk in them. I run in them. I've trailed over ocean sand, climbed rocks and been on the trail with them. They dry quickly and wash easily. (But beware really dry tall grass or 'stickered' areas, this shoe is SUPER thin and those things will poke right through.)

Do take the time to ready the instructions and only wear them a little at a time at first. It may sound crazy but your feet and calves will thank you. Going 'barefoot' with these shoes is worlds apart from walking in other shoes and your muscles will freak out at first because they haven't been used since you were a kid!

And there will be a learning curve getting them on at first. Kind of like contacts. It takes a few tries to get it right. Once you do they slip on easily. I don't even bother to adjust them tighter unless I'm going to be doing some hiking or climbing over rocks.

I fractured my little toe a few years ago and I cannot find any 'regular' shoes that don't hurt no matter how wide or up in size I go. These shoes, that allow your foot to spread naturally, have solved that problem. I also had some hip pain before I started wearing things. That too is gone. With that recommendation, two friends purchased them because of hip pain and they too had the pain disappear.

Cold Tip: These shoes are thin so in the winter your toes can get really cold. To solve this I bought a pair two sizes too big for me and wear the toe-socks with them. Problem solved. (I do not live where there is a lot of snow. I have worn them in the cold drizzle and it worked fine. But if you have harsh weather then you'll probably need an alternative for those months.)

I was not much of a believer in the FiveFinger design until I made this purchase. I feel so stable in these shoes; Tai Chi is a breeze! And running, I never considered wearing such a thin shoe for a 5K, but now I feel that my feet are LESS TIRED after running in these than my $170 running shoes! The only complaint I have about these shoes is that they do very little for warmth, but that will be great next summer. If you have a thinner heel like mine, you will love the fact that these shoes have laces. Also, had no problems with the purchase and the shoes came to my door very quickly.

This is my second pair of Vibram Five Fingers. The fit is true to size and the construction is excellent. As long as you are careful about not putting them in the dryer they should last indefinitely.

My first pair had the single velcro strap across the top of the foot, and I like this style with the bungee laces much better. It gives a more customized fit across the top of the foot without putting so much pressure in one place like the single strap does.

All my friends love them, but my feet would not accept them. I run barefoot but
I run better in my running shoes..

I purchased these shoes, since my husband recommended them. I do like how they feel more natural to wear than, say, a pair of regular tennis shoes. There are a few drawbacks, hence the 4 stars rather than 5.

The cons: First, you have to be very careful with the sizing measurements. These shoes aren't meant to stretch with wear, as the non-stretchable rubber soles wrap around to the tops of your toes. Make sure you get the size right before taking them out for a spin. Secondly, if you're going to be doing high-energy cardio, your toes might slip out of their slots, interrupting your workout. Imagine doing burpees, and as you jump your feet forward, your toes shift out a little; you have to pause and make sure everything is still in the right place. Thirdly, getting your feet into these shoes properly is of course a little trickier than putting on standard shoes. You probably won't be able to slip them on in one fell swoop, although it shouldn't take too long. However, I purchased Vibram 5fingers for my 3-year-old son, and it's so complicated getting those things properly on all his toes, I basically stopped putting them on him, and now he has outgrown them. Moral of the story: get them for older children and adults.

The pros: I love how these shoes feel much more natural than standard tennis shoes. You feel much more in touch with the ground below you. Your toes won't chafe against each other--just buy corresponding socks. These are lightweight, which makes you feel overall much more agile without big tennis shoes dragging you down. I would say the Vibram 5-Finger shoe is superior for many activities such as walking, jogging, and other exercises that don't require a whole lot of intense "jumping around." The look is one that takes getting used to, but I honestly don't care because they're great to wear!
